A Day in the life of the 21 Day Fix EXTREME!
Monday, March 02, 2015We kicked off our 21 Day Extreme challenge group this past Monday and are absolutely LOVING the program! The program (by hot mama Autumn Calabrese) just came out Feb 4th & we ordered it the day it came out :)
As much as we love to live a fit & healthy life, we just can not commit to a workout longer than 30 minutes these days ... I have 2 daughters, a 3 year old and a 1 year old, so workouts happen before they get up, during nap time or after they are in bed & at the end of the day, I am exhausted and wouldn't have the motivation to 'push play' if it was longer than 30 minutes.
But with this program, I SO look forward to my workout! They are at-home ... wouldn't have it any other way as I don't go to the gym ;) ... crazy intense, there is a ton of variety & they are all just 30 minutes. The moves are all 1 minute long & Autumn will tell you, you can do anything for one minute right?! Well, wait till you try some of the moves she has in store for you ...
The program comes with 7 different workouts - Plyo, Upper Fix, Pilates, Lower Fix, Cardio, Dirty 30, Yoga & Hardcore. Let me tell you - the Plyo, Lower Fix & Cardio are absolutely INSANE. Burpee tuck jumps, one leg squat jumps anyone?! But there are modifiers for all the moves so it keeps you motivated & challenges you to get better each week.
And you will get serious results.
SO, here's what a day looks like on a plate for us while following the 21 Day Fix Extreme!
Breakfast: Two scrambled eggs with peppers, onions & garlic. Topped with fresh tomatoes & cilantro.
Snack: Plain Greek yogurt topped with fresh blueberries & strawberries.
Lunch: Whole wheat wrap with mixed greens, organic turkey, cucumber & roasted peppers. Drizzled with balsamic vinegar.
Snack: Grapes & hot lemon water.
Dinner: Chicken Fajita Salad - Spinach with grilled chicken, peppers & onions. Topped with avocado, homemade pico de gallo & fresh lime juice.
Sounds delishh, right?! This program is SO not a diet. It is a true lifestyle change with clean, healthy, real food & 30 minute daily workouts.
