Superfood Smoothie
Saturday, March 01, 2014From our skinny table to yours ...
To say it has been a busy start to 2014 is definitely an understatement! Life with 2 babies under 2 is crazy busy so more than ever, we are in need of simple, nutritious, quick breakfasts to ensure a healthy start to the day.
Today we are sharing our simple & fruity breakfast smoothie. We make a big batch every Sunday and freeze individual portions for quick go-to breakfasts. Simply take one out of the freezer the night before and you are good to go in the morning! This recipe serves 6 - one for breakfast everyday Sunday-Friday.
Our smoothies are a combination of organic frozen fruit, organic frozen spinach or kale, organic plain Greek yogurt, organic honey, orange juice & water. We use water instead of ice because we use frozen fruits & veggies and the water makes it blend together faster. This week we used a fruity combination of raspberries, strawberries and blueberries - yum! But we buy a different fruit blend every week to change thing up ... last week was just as delicious with a tropical fruit blend of mango, pineapple & strawberries.
Just pop it all in the blender, portion up, freeze and you are good to go all week long! Hope you enjoy as much as we do :)
